Our platform offers icon customization options from a selection of built-in sets and the capability to upload your custom images as icons.
Icon customization can be done at two levels, depending on your account setup.
For most accounts, this is done in the Customize Icons area by navigating to App > App Setup > Customise Icons.
If you have a branded app, additional options can be found by navigating to Branding Center > App Settings.
All custom icons or replacement images MUST be 192 x 192 pixels in dimension and be PNG file type.

App Setup
The App Setup’s Customize Icons page is the default area for organizational-level icon customization. Changes made here will be reflected in the Android, iOS, and Windows apps.
If Enterprise Toolkit is enabled and an icon has been customized, when creating a new environment, an option will be available to “Copy Custom Icons” including the icon set from the master account. If AaaS is enabled, ticking this option will use the App Setup’s Custom Icons settings as opposed to any changes made on the Branding Center’s App Settings area if unticked.
Branding Center
The Branding Center’s App Settings area is aimed at preconfiguring accounts (Environments/Clients), while the App Setup’s Customize Icons area allows for organizational-level control of master account icons.
So if you use our Enterprise Toolkit, then all environment accounts will default to using the icons as defined in App Setup > Customize Icon, if a custom icon has been uploaded.
If you are using App as a Service (i.e., you have your own branded apps), then you can use the Branding Center > App Settings to define a “brand level” icon set.

There is no additional charge for changing icons in the Branding Center or in App Setup.
After saving any changes, icons will automatically download to the device when it next synchronizes.
Icon Sets & Styling
Customize the icons seen on the app and make them available for use when building Screens on the platform.
Choose an icon set and then exclude or replace default icons with your own images as desired.

Screen Icons
There are 106 icons available in this category. These icons can be used in the Screens and Documents you create on the platform. You can disable icons you do not wish to make available by unticking the checkbox next to the relevant icon.
To replace an icon with your own custom image, click on the Change option and choose the desired image to upload.
Annotation Icons
Our platform has 21 Annotation icons. The app uses these icons to annotate captured photos and other images/drawings.
If you have industry or company images, stickers, or logos you wish to make available as annotations, you can upload them by clicking the Change option on an icon.

System Icons
There are 24 System Icons on our platform. The app uses these icons internally for built-in functionality, such as Form navigation. You can replace System icons with your own custom images by clicking the Change option and choosing the desired image file to upload.
You should provide replacement images with similar meanings to the originals to avoid user confusion in the app.

Creating Icon Boards for Custom Navigation
We’ve also added support for displaying small circular “badges” next to icons on the app start screen and Icon Board screen types, indicating whether a form is saved or uncompleted.
These badges would generally display a number as one would typically see in iOS apps.
The Icon Board screen can also be customized as follows:
- Icons can be colored
- Icons can be hidden via a Visibility formula
- Icons can display badges (which have their own Visibility and other customization options)
- The “Automatically Generate Icons” option allows you to specify that the app should generate the icons based on what the user has access to. This makes it easy to provide your own custom start screen with dynamic icons.
