Multi-Language Options

Multi-Language Options

ur platform offers multi-language options in the app, when designing forms, and on the web portal.

The app offers a set of default languages to choose from, which are the static text displayed when you log in to the app. The same applies to a form’s language, which toggles depending on the app language set and whether they’ve been added to the form’s designer. So when the app’s language changes, so does the form’s text.

Adding your own custom language is also possible with AaaS (App as a Service).

There are a few additional language options for the web portal, but they are not currently customizable.

Multi-Language Web Portal

You can change the language of the web portal by selecting the language option on the top left of the side menu.

Multi-Language Forms

A single form can be associated with multiple languages, which are displayed depending on the app’s language setting. This means that the app’s language determines the form’s language if a designer’s language has been added.

The default is English for all forms, regardless of the app language. However, suppose a designer language has been specified and field titles, hint texts, etc., have been updated with, for example, a Spanish copy instead of the default English text. In that case, the Spanish text copy will be displayed.

App users can then access the form in the language for which translations were added by either selecting the app’s language when logging in to the app or in the app’s settings. After syncing the app.

  • English
  • Spanish
  • Dutch

Custom In-App Languages (AaaS)

If AaaS is enabled, custom languages can be added through a static translation text file. Forms that have a designer language added to their design will also load in a custom language.

For example, if the language “Japanese” has been configured in the static translations text file, the corresponding designer language has also been added to your forms. When the user changes the language in the app settings, the app interface and forms will all load in Japanese.
