Connecting to OneDrive (Personal)

Connecting to OneDrive (Personal)

We highly recommend connecting your Microsoft services using the Microsoft Graph integration. As the unified gateway to Microsoft 365, a single MS Graph connection securely authenticates SharePoint, OneDrive, and Excel simultaneously, while fully supporting Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to keep your data safe.

Before you can successfully push form-captured data and documents to your personal Microsoft OneDrive account. You’ll need to authorize a connection by following the steps in this article.

If you are using a work or school account, please see our “Connecting to OneDrive for Business” article.

Not sure which OneDrive account you have?

The easiest way to tell is to look at your sign-in screen:

  • Personal accounts usually ask for a “Microsoft account.”
  • Business accounts usually show your company’s logo or a “Work or school account” prompt.

Before You Begin

To ensure a smooth connection, please check the following:

  • Account Type: Ensure you are logged into the browser with the Microsoft account you wish to connect.
  • File Permissions: Our platform needs permission to create folders and upload files. (Enabled when authorizing a connection.)
  • Personal Vault: Our platform cannot send files to your OneDrive “Personal Vault” because Microsoft’s security layer prevents it. (Folder paths defined on connectors.)

Adding & Authorizing the Connection

Follow these steps to link your account:

  1. Navigate to Data Hub > Connections.
  2. Click Add Connection on the top right
  3. Select the OneDrive Personal option
  4. Authorize the connection: A Microsoft login window will pop up. Enter your credentials and click Next.
  5. Accept Permissions: Microsoft will ask if you want to let our platform access your info and files. Click Yes.
    • Note: We only use this access to create the folders and files you specifically trigger via your forms.

Once connected, you can add form connectors to push data directly to your OneDrive personal account.
