App permissions

App permissions

When launching the eForms Mobile Client app for the first time or using certain functionality within a form, like capturing and accessing media, etc., on the device, the app will ask for permission to function properly.

If you allow it when initially prompted in-app, the permission will automatically be granted, allowing you to utilize that feature.

If the prompt is denied a few times and the app starts warning you “…please try again” after you attempt to use a particular feature, you’ll then need to manually allow permissions by navigating to the Device’s Settings > App > App Permissions. Please note that these steps might differ slightly depending on your device’s operating system and version.

This article covers the permissions the app might need and what it enables, depending on the features required for Android and iOS devices. Ensuring you’re fully aware of any permission issues that prevent the app from functioning as intended.

Error messages that you could encounter requiring permission would look like the list below. Depending on the device’s operating system, please check the permissions tables above to identify the one needed to either access, capture, or use from the device.
