Form Connector – Egnyte

Form Connector – Egnyte

If you’re looking to send/store multiple types of captured form data (e.g., customized PDFs, Word docs, Excel files) into your Egnyte account, adding numerous Form Connectors to a form makes this possible.

Adding the Connector

Follow these steps to add the connector to your specific form:

  1. Navigate to App Workshop > Forms.
  2. Hover over your desired form and click the Connect icon.
  3. Click the Add Connector button (top-right).
  4. Select Egnyte from the options.

Note: The page will refresh with the connector added. Changes are not live until you click Save.

Quick Access Tip

If you are already inside the Form Builder or Settings view, you don’t need to go back to the main menu. Simply click the Connectors tab located directly under the form title at the top of the screen.

Configuring the Connector

After adding the form connector, the following configuration options are available.

Send Form Answers

You can choose what format you want your Form entry data to be sent in.

CSV:Sends a JSON-formatted file to your Google Drive location.
Excel:Sends a Microsoft Excel attachment, which is generated using an Excel XLSX template you upload.
JSON:It sends a PDF file attachment as part of the email, generated using either a generic PDF output or the Word/Excel template provided.
PDF:Sends a PDF file attachment on the email, generated using either a generic PDF output or the Word/Excel template provided.
Text File:Sends a Form’s data as a Text File attachment to the email.
Word: Sends a Microsoft Word attachment, which is generated using a Word DOCX template you upload.
XML: Sends an XML-formatted file to your Box storage location.

Send Media Files

Allows you to attach the media files to be included in the email.

With this option enabled, the Connector will send/attach all media captured in the Form entry (photos, videos, etc.) as separate files.

This is in addition to any generated answer/template output of the connector.

Anonymize Personal Data

If enabled, fields marked as Personal Data will be excluded from the output.

File Name

Optionally enter a custom file name of your choice.

You can also create a dynamic attachment name using fields from your Form – hit the hammer icon to build it.

The file extension (.pdf, .xlsx, .docx, etc.) will be added to your name automatically. The generated file name, including the extension, may not exceed 120 characters.

Folder Path

Optionally enter a folder path for the exported file to be placed in. Path should be entered in the following format: FolderName/AnotherFolder/FileGoesInThisOne

Anonymize Personal Data

If enabled, data from fields marked as Personal Data will be converted to a non-human-readable format to aid privacy.
