Form Connector – Twilio

Form Connector – Twilio

A Twilio Form Connector helps you send and manage short messages programmatically. Our platform lets you quickly and easily send text messages when a Form entry is uploaded and/or a Task Connector’s triggering condition occurs.

Set Up Twilio Connection

Before you add a Twilio Connector, you must ensure a valid Twilio Connection is set up in your Organization.

Adding the Connector

Follow these steps to add the connector to your specific form:

  1. Navigate to App Workshop > Forms.
  2. Hover over your desired form and click the Connect icon.
  3. Click the Add Connector button (top-right).
  4. Select Twilio from the options.

Note: The page will refresh with the connector added. Changes are not live until you click Save.

Quick Access Tip

If you are already inside the Form Builder or Settings view, you don’t need to go back to the main menu. Simply click the Connectors tab located directly under the form title at the top of the screen.

Configuring the Connector

After adding the form connector, the following configuration options are available.

Next, configure the following:

PropertyDescription
To Numbers(s)Enter the phone number(s) for this message to be sent to, separated by commas. Note: Phone numbers should not contain anything other than numbers and the ‘+’ symbol. For more information, see Formatting Phone Numbers.
Message BodyEnter a custom message body of your choice.
You can also create a dynamic subject using fields from your Form – hit the hammer icon to build your text.
Note: Messages cannot be longer than 160 characters. If the message is longer than 160 characters, it will be truncated.
To Form FieldSend messages to a dynamic phone number(s) by selecting a form field from the list.
When completing the form, the user must define the required phone number in the selected form field.
Anonymize Personal DataIf enabled, data from fields marked as Personal Data will be converted to a non-human-readable format to aid privacy.

At this stage, your Connector is ready to go.

Click the SAVE button (in the top-right corner) to save your changes and activate the Connector.
