When to use camera in basic mode? (Android only)

On some lower-end Android devices, the app may crash due to low memory when using the native phone camera.

When this occurs and users are having trouble with the camera, we recommend enabling “Use Camera in Basic Mode” on the App’s Settings.

When enabled, this setting helps alleviate the issue of sporadic app crashes by optimizing the phone’s memory management when using the camera, resulting in a more stable, consistent user experience.

Please note that your image quality will be reduced in order to reduce the app’s RAM usage, thereby minimizing app crashes.
